Hi Reader, I’m currently in São Paulo Brazil, one of my favorite layovers for my work as a flight attendant. Although São Paulo is an incredible city, it’s actually my favorite layover because I find it so restful. I even called this layover “mommy vacation” 🤣 Rest is incredibly underrated. I had a bit of a stressful week going back-and-forth with doctors offices, wrestling with Insurance, and dealing with all kinds of other administrative minutiae that is definitely not my favorite 😬 But being here in Brazil where the vibe always feels more relaxed and friendly, there’s no dishes to be done, and everything just feels slower - definitely feels like the reset that I needed. I’ve even gotten to catch up with a few flight attendants that I haven’t seen in years, which was amazing. I also love that there are so many gluten-free options in Brazil - that is always a huge plus! Speaking of which - if you don’t have it yet - my Gluten-free Goodness Guide is on sale at half price from today through the rest of this month in honor of Black Friday! I have so many awesome gluten-free options in this guide, including gluten-free Brazilian crepes that require only one ingredient! No discount code needed, just head over here to grab it half-off for yourself or a GF loved one for this month only ❤️ But back to relaxation - If you’re feeling a bit stressed and weighed down with annoying tasks these days, where can you find a little reset? You may not be able to go to Brazil for work, but is there a place and a pocket of time where you can find a slower pace to just be in the moment? Sometimes even a little walk in a beautiful park can bring you that mental space that you need to face the world again! And speaking of beautiful places, my full video about Tokyo is finally ready on YouTube! Tokyo is one of my favorite cities in the world and this was our second time there. We had such a blast and I can’t wait to share the experience with you! Wishing you a restful Sunday and a beautiful week ahead, Amalia

Hi Reader, Yesterday I was flying a trip with Will, a coworker that I went to flight attendant training with 11 years ago. We were reminiscing about classmates and I mentioned our mutual friend Rolo. Will smiled and said, “Rolo really is the most interesting man in the world. “ And I knew exactly what he meant by that. "The Most Interesting Man in the World", probably the funniest ad campaign ever! For context, Rolo is in his 60s, but he has more energy in enthusiasm than many 20 year-olds...
Hi Reader, Many years ago I took a psychology class and they taught us a concept for dealing with stress known as “5 minute vacation”. The concept is that whenever you're overwhelmed with stress, just taking 5 minutes to rest and imagine yourself on a lovely vacation can dramatically lower your stress levels. I'm currently recovering from the worst asthma exacerbation I've had in over 3 years. Ironically, this has forced me to rest. I'm honestly not very good at resting. I like to be busy and...
