I recently heard famous YouTuber Casey Neistat say that he starts every morning with a run. When asked why, he said, “Because then I start my day out with a win.” If you think about the most pivotal moments of your life, most likely you had to overcome some sort of resistance in order to accomplish or experience them. And this is why overcoming resistance is so important. It is often the only barrier between us and living the life of our dreams. In his groundbreaking book, “The War of Art”, author Steven Pressfield talks about the concept of resistance. Mr. Pressfield talks about resistance as an entity - a dark energy that manifests as a voice in our head that can persuade us to stop creating or stop showing up for the things that we a calling to do. I believe that every time we push against that voice of resistance and do “that thing", it is miraculous. It is also vital. And that is what pushed me to do this 30-day experiment on resistance - It wasn't easy. But I learned a lot through doing this. About my own blockages, my hangups, my insecurities, my own particular type of resistance. I also learned a lot of great strategies for dealing with this resistance - that I hope can be helpful for you as well! While I’m unlikely to begin starting every single day with a run like Casey, I definitely do feel want to keep feeling that "win" every day. And to keep fighting through that resistance. 💪 Hugs, Amalia PS - If you could take a quick moment to give this video a "like" and maybe even a comment, I would be truly grateful. This helps so much with the YouTube algorithm and gives my little video a chance to be seen by more people. 🙌

Dear Reader, A week ago, I had to go fly another redeye flight to Seattle. (Yes I’ve been doing a lot of these lately, I actually like them! 🤣) I was in a crappy mood that day. Not for any particular reason, just feeling kind of blue. Inadvertently glancing at world news didn’t help much either :/ But then, something happened on the plane once boarding started. Two little boys came on the plane, wide-eyed. Their mom told me it was their first flight ever and I asked if they would like to take...
Hi Reader, In-person connection feels more important than ever these days. I’ve just returned from Boise, Idaho, from the Craft + Commerce conference for creators (how many C’s were in that sentence?! 🤣). It was my second year attending and it was just what I needed right now. With current events in the news seeming darker and darker, sometimes it’s hard not to get sucked in and feel like that’s all there is. But after a few days spent walking in nature, listening to inspiring keynotes and...
Hi Reader, A question that I'm often asked is - Are vitamins and supplements are actually worth it? And if so...which ones to take?? I get it. There's an overwhelming amount of info out there on which supplements you must take - and then others who say that supplements are just giving you expensive pee 🙄 (a catchy statement but I can quickly disprove that one with my bloodwork, which I do twice a year at a minimum). So as to which supplements you should take - for the most part that is...
