Dear Reader I’ve just returned from the Craft + Commerce conference in Boise, Idaho and all I can say is - wow!! Craft + Commerce is a conference by and for creators - entrepreneurs, YouTubers, bloggers - many that attend it are all three of these! This was my first year attending and while I was super impressed by the quality of the keynote speakers and the lovely way that the conference was run - I was even more blown away by how incredible and accomplished the other attendees were. At first, I was excited and inspired to learn as much as possible. But then - imposter syndrome hit me. Who was I to be at this conference?? I wasn’t anywhere in the league of anyone else there. I’m just a health coach/actor/flight attendant - not an actual businesswoman. But I kept on showing up to everything anyway. I knew that at least I could learn from everyone around me, even if I wasn’t as accomplished as they were. And then - on the last morning of the conference, there was an overarching theme that all the keynote speakers focused on in their talks. That theme was failure. And I’m not talking about little failures along the way. I’m talking about crushing failures, the kind that would make my imposter syndrome force me to hide under my couch for a good few years. And then in listening to them, I realized, what set these incredible creators apart - (aside from talent, of course) - is that despite crushing failures and circumstances - They refused to give up. That was a lightbulb moment for me. Failure doesn't mean that you're a failure. Failure happens to all of us. And it can indeed feel crushing. But what makes you a real success - Is that you keep on getting back up again. And again. And again. Wishing you success (whatever your version of that is!) in all your endeavors this week! Love, Amalia P.S. I have to say, Boise is such a cute and fun city! Kind of reminds me of Williamsburg, Brooklyn - but way more laid back & friendly! 😜 Take a quick peek at what became my favorite coffee shop while I was there - highly recommend it if you ever visit!

Dear Reader, One year ago, I set off on a 30 day experiment with an at-home red light therapy panel to see what would happen. Now one year later, my red light panel has turned out to be one of the best investments I could’ve made, not only for my skin - but for my overall wellbeing. And I keep finding more and more uses for it! Check out the full video on YouTube 🚨 And if you’re wondering which brand and model that I use, it’s the Mito Pro 300, a medium-sized panel with both red light and...
Confession - I am not a naturally organized person. I admire organization. I really do. And I truly love the way it feels when I’m in a very organized and harmonious space. But I’ve come to realize, some people just have a knack for organizing. Like my husband, for example. He doesn’t have much free time, but when he does set his mind to an organizing project, it looks fantastic afterwards 🙌 Me on the other hand? If I try to organize something by myself, there will be lots of time spent...
Hey Reader, Sometimes we just need a little comfort food, am I right? Usually comfort food tends to refer to things like big bowls of pasta, creamy mac & cheese, and thick slices of cake. But what if your comfort food could actually be something healthy? It’s absolutely possible! 🙌 I LOVE to eat well and one of my favorite things to do is re-creating my favorite foods in a healthier version. I created this recipe for Creamy Cauliflower Gratin, using the delicious French potato dish “Gratin...
