Overwhelm Recovery...

Hi Reader

Life can be overwhelming some days, am I right?

The overwhelm is still something I’m working through - although I think I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I talk about the overwhelm and how I’m learning to manage it in this video. Although I’m talking from the perspective as a mom, I think this discussion can really apply to anyone with a lot on their plate!

I’ve also recently started reading "Future Boards" by Sarah Centrella and I’m really loving it!

Because my schedule is quite full, I have to move through the book very slowly (there's several writing assignment in it)

But honestly - a lot of improvement in our lives comes in very small steps.

This is something that I need to constantly remind myself of, as I love to see BIG progress.

But realistically, it’s the consistent showing up for ourselves on a regular basis - even if that’s just a 10 minute daily workout, 5 minutes of meditation or a daily commitment to eating a nutrient-dense diet.

But definitely check out "Future Boards" if you’re looking to clarify your vision for 2026. Yes, I know we’re already at the end of March but January doesn’t have to be the only month that you visualize and plan your big dreams!

Another thing that I just have to share, that I think is kind of awesome, is a YouTube channel that was recommended to me by another flight attendant recently. It’s called "The Snoozetarian" and it’s really quite brilliant. If you’re a history buff like me and sometimes have trouble sleeping, you will absolutely love this!

I’ve been listening to this fascinating and yet oddly calming lecture about life in the Gilded Age and I haven’t managed to make it all the way through because I’ve been falling asleep so fast!

Another quick share is this amazing crispy quinoa salad with tahini dressing that I made this week. I made it as a way to reuse some leftover chicken and it came out incredible!

This recipe is from the incredible creator, Sivan’s Kitchen.

And if you’ve also been struggling with a bit of overwhelm lately, I’d love to hear from you!

I think a lot of of us are feeling this these days and we can really lift each other up with honest discussion.

Wishing you a beautiful Sunday! 🌸

Amalia

Hi Reader, If you’ve ever landed after a long flight and caught your reflection looking… dull, puffy, dehydrated — You’re not imagining it. Cabin air has a fraction of the humidity your skin is used to on the ground, and it pulls moisture straight out of it the entire time you’re in the air. After years of flying for a living, I’ve built a skincare/wellness routine around two windows: Right before I fly, and right after I land. Here’s what that actually looks like. Before & during the flight:...

Hi Reader, It’s August and there is so much stuff I feel like I should have done by now this year. So of course, I’ve been dwelling on that. Until I got on the phone with a friend who helped remind me of all the stuff I have done. This year and in the past. In case you don’t have that friend, or simply don’t have the time to call - (‘cause that’s real, especially when you’re juggling trips, work, life stuff, and everything in between!), Allow me to be her for you - Reader! You have come so...

Hi @Reader, As anyone who’s recovered from an injury knows, little milestones towards your recovery can make you so incredibly happy. This week, I’m happy to say that I made some major progress in several areas. I was finally able to start driving again - just short drives but it's something! Independence is so important to me and knowing that I can drive myself, at least locally, made me really happy. And - I was able to go for a run. I probably could’ve done it sooner, but I had been having...
