Hi Reader, I recently recovered from a pretty icky cold. The problem with me and colds is that I have the world‘s worst sinuses - —seriously, I’ve been told this by an ENT. Well ok, she didn’t say that exactly, but she did say that I should get sinus surgery - which I didn’t 🤣 In the past, colds would almost always turn into sinus infections and eventually asthma. But now I have a couple of tools that help me prevent that. One is regular use of my Neti pot. I use it a few times a week when I’m healthy and twice a day when I have a cold. It helps a ton! I’ve also been taking a supplement called NAC since last year. NAC is a powerful antioxidant and not only has it been incredible for my energy levels, but I haven’t had any asthma issues since taking it. NAC is also known for strengthening the lungs, so that makes sense! The third tool that I use is red light therapy. I bought a red light panel almost 2 years ago and it’s been an incredible investment in my health. Not only is an amazing for my skin, but it’s been incredible for my sinuses as well. Whenever I have a cold or even a headache, it reduces inflammation significantly. I’m pretty sure this is a huge reason why I’ve been recovering much faster than I used to from colds & flus. It has tons of other benefits, too, (you can check out this short video to see all the ways that I use it) The brand that I use, Mito, is currently having their annual Black Friday sale. The sale ends today - And that's only as long as supplies last - so it’s a great time to grab a panel! Mito rarely goes on sale and my normal affiliate link can only offer 5% off - -whereas right now you can get 10% off of all devices sitewide and even bigger savings on select devices. (Note: I am a proud affiliate of Mito. I chose to partner with them only after first researching and trying their product for myself, bought with my own funds. If you purchase through my link, I will receive a very small commission, at no extra cost to you 😊) I tend to be very cautious in my purchases, and this is one purchase that I have never regretted! If you have any questions about red light therapy, hit reply and let me know. I wouldn’t call myself an expert, but I’ll do my best to answer from my own experience! Wishing you great health and a beautiful week ahead! ❤️ Amalia PS - I’ve started a fun little short video series on YouTube of 30 days of Flight Attendant adventures with me! I’d love to have you cheering me on on this adventure 🙌 Here’s the first video

Hi Reader, Yesterday I was flying a trip with Will, a coworker that I went to flight attendant training with 11 years ago. We were reminiscing about classmates and I mentioned our mutual friend Rolo. Will smiled and said, “Rolo really is the most interesting man in the world. “ And I knew exactly what he meant by that. "The Most Interesting Man in the World", probably the funniest ad campaign ever! For context, Rolo is in his 60s, but he has more energy in enthusiasm than many 20 year-olds...
Hi Reader, Many years ago I took a psychology class and they taught us a concept for dealing with stress known as “5 minute vacation”. The concept is that whenever you're overwhelmed with stress, just taking 5 minutes to rest and imagine yourself on a lovely vacation can dramatically lower your stress levels. I'm currently recovering from the worst asthma exacerbation I've had in over 3 years. Ironically, this has forced me to rest. I'm honestly not very good at resting. I like to be busy and...
